150 Years of the MU - 24/07/26

We celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Mothers’ Union in style on a sunny Friday evening with jacket potatoes, ice cream and blast from the past .........a beetle drive.

The MU Committee did a wonderful job, organising the event and cooking the food.
After a delicious meal of baked potatoes, with a variety of fillings, and ice cream we were ready for some fun.
Ready for the off?
Well there were a few people still eating ice cream (in the background).
Look there's Moira with a camera -
but she didn't escape - someone took her photo too.
We ate the last spoonfuls of ice cream.
Tables were cleared and everyone was ready.
Jennifer explained the game for those who'd forgotten it
and we started throwing dice.
After six rounds it was time to work out the scores - I think this was the winner!
Time to pack up after a delightful evening.
